NOTEWORTHY:
- Angel Almonte (1-0) worked four scoreless innings in relief to earn the win. He allowed just two hits and struck out three.
- Daniel Broeseker gave up a lead off single to Tyler Carey, but came back to get a fly out and two strikeouts to earn his fourth save.
- Michael White (1-1) frittered away a three-run lead, giving up four runs (three earned) in just over an inning worth of work.
- Quintana went 4-for-4 with a homer, double, three runs and three RBI.
