MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers snapped a four-game skid with a 69-57 win over the Nova Southeastern Sharks on Cesar Odio Court in the Health & Sports Center on Saturday in the Division II Basketball Showcase. The Bucs moved to 9-9 in the Sunshine State Conference women's basketball standings.

NOTEWORTHY:
- Palmer had another double-double with 21 points and 17 rebounds. She also added three blocks and a steal.
- Cousiño had 16 points and six assists and Ida Andersson added 17 points.
- Hughes led the Sharks with 16 points.
- Barry moved to within a game of fourth place, as Tampa lost to Embry-Riddle 69-60. Tampa visits first-place Florida Southern on Wednesday, while Barry travels to Lynn. The Spartans and Bucs close out the regular season with a game in the HSC on Saturday Feb. 24 that could decide who hosts the SSC Quarterfinal the following week.
ON THE HORIZON:
