FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers battled hard, but came up just short of a second straight upset over a ranked team on Monday. The Bucs fell 70-64 to third-ranked West Texas A&M in the Cruzin' Classic at the Fort Lauderdale Civic Center.

• 2Q - The Bucs came out firing on all cylinders in the second period, opening up a 10-point lead with a 10-3 run over the first 2:36. Swindells hit another long three and Nichel Tampa had five points, including a three-point play. • Andersson led the Bucs with 21 points and eight rebounds.
• Swindells came off the bench to score 15, while Tampa added 12.
• Lexy Hightower led the Buffs with 22 points, while Taylor had 17 points and 12 rebounds and Deleyah Harris added 10 points and 14 rebounds.
