Miami Shores, Fla. -- BarryU's men's soccer team took another step towards a conference championship on Thursday when they defeated the Lynn Fighting Knights by a 2-0 margin in the semifinal of the 2018 Sunshine State Conference Tournament at Buccaneer Field on Thursday.
The Bucs held Lynn without a goal for the second time this season after defeating Lynn on the road 2-0 back in the middle of October. High pressure defense and creative counter attacks were the keys to the game for the Bucs as both of the team's goals came off of Lynn turnovers near the Knight's penalty box.

- 59:54 - Lynn Goalkeeper Roberto Bazzichetto made an excellent save on an accurate free kick by Aday Gonzalez in the upper left 90' of the goal.

NOTEWORTHY:
- The 2-0 result was the eighth clean sheet of the season for Marco Sordi and the Buccaneer defense.
- The respective goals tonight marked the fourth of the season for both Kirkham and De Biase.
- Barry out-shot Lynn 13-9 and put more of those shots on goal by a 6-2 margin.

Next for the Bucs will be the SSC tournament Final on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 1:00 pm when they will hit the road to take on #3 Palm Beach Atlantic at the Rinker Athletic Campus in West Palm Beach, Fla.
