MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Despite being more than halfway through the 2018 season, the Buccaneers will take on a pair of Sunshine State Conference foes for the first time this weekend. Friday, the Bucs welcome Embry-Riddle University (11-5, 5-4 SSC) to the Health & Sports Center. The Eagles arrive in Miami Shores winning four-of-their-last-six matches. Then, on Saturday, the Bucs host the Florida Tech Panthers (5-12, 2-7 SSC) who are coming off a win in straight sets over Rollins College on Tuesday.

Both matches can be seen on the Buccaneer Broadcasting Network and live stats are available as well.

On Tuesday night, the Buccaneers swept the season series against the Lynn University Fighting Knights with a 3-0 win in Miami Shores. During the first match back in September, Barry picked up an important record-setting victory in five sets. The win gave Barry a 10-0 start for the first time in the programs history. The 10-wins topped the start that the 1994 Buccaneer squad tallied during a 30-4 season. The first matchup between these teams was the first time that Barry had gone five sets with an opponent.
