MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The eighth-ranked women's soccer team swims with the Nova Southeastern Sharks tonight at NSU Soccer Field in a Sunshine State Conference match between the two teams at 7:00 pm. The Bucs previously defeated the Sharks 2-1 at home in a non-conference tilt on Sept. 12.

The Bucs' offensive exploded last week for nine goals in wins over Palm Beach Atlantic (4-1) and Embry-Riddle (5-0). Molly Sharpe had three goals and two assists, earning SSC Offensive Player of the Week. She now has had an assist in five straight games and a goal in four of the five. Melanie Ziegner picked up SSC Defensive Player of the Week after not allowing a goal in her stint in the two games.

The Bucs remain the only unbeaten team in the SSC and lead the league in goals per game, goals allowed and goal differential. Christy Grimshaw (8 goals/6 assists) and Sharpe (7 goals/6 assists) ranked first/second in the league in both goals and assists. Ziegner is tied for the league lead with three solo shutouts and a 0.30 goals against average. 

Having played three more games than the Bucs, the Sharks lead the league in total goals scored with 31. It's been a very balanced attack, however, as Jemma House leads the team with five goals and three other players have four. Kirsten Russel leads the team with four assists. The Sharks have split up duties in goal, but Shannon Hearty and Natalie Robayna have seen the bulk of the action. The Sharks have allowed 21 goals for a 1.78 goals against average and a 69.1 save percentage.
