MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry women's soccer team hosts the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish on Wednesday, Sept. 27. The game marks the first time the teams have met as full members of the Sunshine State Conference.

The Sailfish, like the Bucs, were impacted by Hurricane Irma, but have managed to get in five games so far to the Bucs three. After a 6-0 shutout of Concordia (N.Y.), the 'Fish have lost four in a row including back-to-back 1-0 losses in conference to Saint Leo and Tampa. The Bucs have played just once in conference, a 0-0 tie with Rollins.
Amanda Traynor leads the Bucs with two goals. Sofia de la Puente and Gabby Sanon each have a goal and an assist. Carissa Sanchez leads the team with two assists. Melanie Ziegner has started all three games in goal, posting a 1-1-1 record and a 0.99 goals against average.
Freshman forward Taylor Frizen leads the Sailfish with two goals. Junior midfielder Gemma Burrul adds a goal and a team-best two assists. Sophomore forward Kelly Giddes has a goal and an assist. Senior Isabelle Granlund has handled the bulk of the keeping duties, going 1-4-0 with a 1.43 goals against average.
