MIAMI SHORES, Fla.-- The Barry Buccaneers split their softball doubleheader with the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish, winning the first game 6-2, but dropping the last game 12-4 in five innings.

GAME ONE:
- B-2nd - The Bucs jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second. The Bucs loaded the bases with one out. Cheyanne Head drove in Kristina Osorio with a single to center. Alayna Gallagher delivered a two-run double. Head scored on a fielder's choice by Lynsey Duncan.
- T-5th - Hannah Carlton walked and scored on a passed ball.
- B-5th - The Bucs loaded the bases with one out again. Duncan delivered a two-run single to score Head and Sam Busekrus.
- T-7th - Kayla Knight doubled with two outs and scored on an error.
SUMMARY:
GAME TWO:
- B-1st - Head singled and scored on a double by Duncan.
- T-3rd - Lauren Kilgore belted a grand slam homer to highlight a five-run inning for the Sailfish.
- B-3rd - Head singled and scored again, this time ahead of a Jasmine Harris single.
- T-4th - The Sailfish struck for three runs. Maddie Bertische had an RBI single and Shelby Wood a sacrifice fly.
- T-5th - PBA scored for more in the fifth. Knight had a two-run triple and Maggie West and Bertische had run-scoring singles.
- B-5th - Barry got two runs back in the bottom of the inning. Geneva Santos and Harris singled to lead off. Peyton Rawls drove in Santos with a fly ball. Osorio doubled to drive in Harris.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Santos (7-5) worked a complete game in the first one to earn the win. She allowed two unearned runs on seven hits and a walk.
- Ashton Adkins (17-7) took the loss in game one for the Sailfish. She got racked for four runs on six hits in 1.1 innings.
- Anieliese Palmeiro (5-4) took the loss in game two, allowing four runs (three earned) in 2.0+ innings.
- Nikki Brinegar (11-5) earned the win with four innings of work. She scattered eight hits, allowing two runs in four innings.
- Head went 5-for-7 in the twin bill, scoring four runs and stealing two bases.
- Duncan was 3-for-6 with a double and four RBI.
