MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers dropped game one of their Sunshine State Conference softball series 13-3 to the Rollins Tars on Friday night at Buccaneer Field.

SUMMARY:
- T-1st - The Tars scored one in the first on no hits and four walks.
- B-2nd - The Bucs tied the game 1-1 in the second. Geneva Santos singled, stole second and scored on a dropped fly ball by Tars right fielder Sarah Harrison.
- T-3rd - The Tars exploded for six runs on five hits in the third. Pitcher Gracie Street had a two-run single and shortstop Kacie Booth belted a two-run homer.
- T-4th - Chandler Middlebrook had a lead-off homer and Street added a two-run double at the Tars put on three more.
- B-4th - Santos trimmed the lead to 10-3 with a two-run double over the head of center fielder Chelsea Reed.
- T-5th - The Tars got three more runs in the fifth. Middlebrook and Reed had RBI singles.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Santos (6-5) took the loss for the Bucs, allowing 10 runs (nine earned) on nine hits and six walks.
- Street (9-10) worked a complete game to get the win for the Tars.
