AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- The Barry baseball program lost a pair of games in their double-header to Findlay on Sunday at the Russmatt Invitational.

SUMMARY:
Game 1
- T2: Troy Merriman doubled to centerfield, scoring Peter Yorgen to take the 1-0 lead for the Oilers.
- T3: Findlay added three more in the third inning to extend their lead to four runs. Josh Schwerer doubled to score two RBI.
- T4: Logan Harrah scored for the oilers after consecutive defensive miscues in the infield by the Bucs.
- B4: Khalil Denson broke the scoring silence for the Bucs with a double through the right side of the field to score Ryan Baldwin.
- T5: Findlay extended their lead to eight runs after scoring four more in the fifth.
- B6: Denson made some noise for the Bucs in the sixth inning when he homered to right field, but it was too late as the Oilers came away with game one of the double header.
Game 2
- T3: Richie Alfonso got the Bucs on the board, scoring from third on a wild pitch.
- T4: Jonathan Quintana scored in the fourth after Reuben Pino singled to the shortstop, increasing the lead for the Bucs, making it 2-0.
- B4: Yorgen doubled in the fourth to right field to score Harrah, to trim the Buc's lead to one run.
- B6: Harrah scored from third off a hit by Christion Smith to knot the game at two apiece.
- B8: Both teams battled into extra innings but the Bucs fell short when Pete Burkett scored off of a wild pitch to end the game, 3-2 Oilers.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Austin Rodesky (2-0) tallied his second win of the season, lasting the entire game, and only giving up two runs and four hits.
- Luis Deville (1-2) picked up the loss in game one for the Bucs after giving up nine runs.
- AJ Cecil (2-0) took the win for the Oilers in game two, giving up just two hits to keep the Bucs off the board.
- Daniel Broeseker (1-0) grabbed his first loss of the season for the Bucs, giving up one hit and one run.
- Nate Greve had nine strikeouts, and gave up just three hits and one run through four innings.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs host Chestnut Hill College on Tuesday, and Wilmington University on Wednesday during the upcoming spring break week.
