DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Barry wrapped up the regular season with a 113-102 road win at Embry-Riddle's ICI Center Saturday night.
Elvar Fridriksson and
Adrian Gonzalez both reached 30 points on a night four starters scored in double figures. The win capped an impressive week in which the Buccaneers secured their first outright Sunshine State Conference regular season title, and grabbed the No. 1 seed to next week's league tournament. Barry will host a quarterfinal game at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Health & Sports Center.

SUMMARY:
- Adrian Gonzalez scored at least 30 points for the sixth time this season and second time this week.
- Elvar Fridriksson scored a career-high 37 points, matching Gonzalez for the most scored by a Buccaneer this season. He had 26 in the first half as the Bucs built a 59-45 lead.
- Skyler Hogan scored 40 for Embry-Riddle -- the most an opponent has dropped on the Bucs this season.
- The Eagles led by 11 6:36 into the game, but by the 6:21 mark in the second half, the Buccaneers had flipped the switch, taking a 21-point lead. Barry led for 30:02 in the game.
- After Embry-Riddle raced out to the 11-point first half lead, Fridriksson hit two triples, and Gonzalez knocked down a jumper in an 8-0 run to cut it to three. The Eagles bumped their lead back to eight with 10:23 remaining in the first half, but Barry drew within two on Sawyer Glick's triple 42 seconds later.
- Barry used a 10-1 run to take a seven-point lead with 4:31 left on the first half clock. The Bucs increased the lead to 15 on a basket by Gonzalez at the 1:59 mark.
- Embry-Riddle never threatened in the second half as the Buccaneers led by double digits the final 20 minutes.
NOTEWORTHY
- Gonzalez became the third player in school history to hit 600 career field goals. He has 602 after going 12 for 15 in this game.
- Fridriksson fell an assist shy of his seventh double-double of the season. His 37 points marked the second time he's gone for at least 30.
- Barry had 25 assists, marking the 17th time the Bucs have reached at least 20 this season. The Buccaneers lead the country in assists per game.
- The Bucs improved to 9-1 when four starters score in double figures. Daniel Mortensen had 12 points, and Arie Williams 10.
- This marks the second straight year Barry has scored over 100 points at Embry-Riddle -- both times in the final week of the regular season.
- Saturday's road win came on the eve of NASCAR's neighboring Daytona 500. Next weekend's SSC semifinals and championship game will also be played at the ICI Center.
