The Bucs (8-2, 3-1 SSC) are on a roll, winning eight of their last nine games, including seven in a row. Their only two losses of the season have come at Union (ranked #1 in the region) and at Eckerd (ranked #2). The Bucs have knocked off three undefeated teams this season. They are coming off a 75-64 win over St. Thomas on Wednesay, Dec. 13 at home.

She is coming off three straight double-doubles in wins over Rollins, Tampa and St. Thomas. She is fifth in the conference in scoring, first in rebounding and second in blocks and third in shooting. Barbara Cousiño is chipping in 15.3 points (sixth in the SSC), 5.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. Her 45.8 three-point field goal percentage tops the league. Ida Andersson has made quite the impression in her first season, averaging 11.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. The Tigers are just 2-8 on the season, and have not won out of conference. Benedict has lost three in a row, to Albany State, Livingstone and North Greenville, prior to their game at Nova Southeastern on Friday night.
Freshman forward Ay'anna Bey leads the Tigers in scoring (15.6) and rebounding (8.6). The 6-2 post can also step out to three point range, where she is second on the team in made baskets. Though Bey is the only Tiger in double-figures, 6-0 junior guard Shirvel Luke chips in 9.4 points per game.
