MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry Buccaneers dominated the Minnesota-Crookston Eagles 71-61 to take both of their games at the Cesar Odio Classic on Saturday in the Health & Sports Center.

• 1Q - The first period was back and forth, with one tie and five lead changes. But a Harriet Swindells three-pointer at the buzzer gave Barry the lead 20-19. | Barry 20, Minnesota-Crookston 19
• 2Q - The Eagles came out on fire in the second period, scoring the first eight points for a 27-20 lead on a three-pointer from Caitlin Michaelis with 8:06 remaining. But the Bucs responded with a 14-0 run to regain the lead. Barbara Cousiño had six points during the run and eight in the period. | Barry 36, Minnesota-Crookston 29
• 3Q - Although the Eagles managed to trim two points off the lead, the Bucs still entered the final frame on top. Michaelis had five points for the Eagles. Kiara Palmer responded with four for the Bucs. | Barry 51, Minnesota-Crookston 46
• 4Q - The Bucs quickly opened a double-figure lead and maintained it throughout the period. The Bucs pushed the lead to as manay as 15 on a Lexy Schoonover layup with 4:30 to play. Emily Gruber cut the lead to eight, 69-61, but Schoonover connected for a basket on the next trip down for the Bucs and neither team scored over the final 2:07. | Barry 71, Minnesota-Crookston 61

NOTEWORTHY:

• Cousiño led all scorers with a career-high 26 points. She also added seven rebounds, three assists and a steal.
• Ida Andersson had 11 points, while Palmer added eight points and 13 rebounds.
• Gruber led the Eagles with 17 points, while Isieoma Odor had 13 points and 10 rebounds.
• The two teams had only met once before, in 2010. Barry also won that game 71-61.
