Volleyball Falls in Season Finale

Castillo, Allen wrap up Barry careers

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Jaeda Allen and Genesis Castillo played their final matches at Barry University Saturday as the Buccaneers fell to No. 22 Florida Southern, 25-17, 25-11, 25-18, in the Health and Sports Center.

Allen finished with eight kills and five digs, and Castillo had three kills and two blocks, but the Bucs could not derail the Moccasins, who won their 18th straight match in capturing the Sunshine State Conference title.

"You can't recreate this game-like environment," Allen said. "It's kind of hard to do. This is intense. I play this sport for a reason, and that's one of the reasons why. I'm going to miss touching the ball with these girls."
