WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Barry University's volleyball team made the No. 10-ranked team in the country sweat a little. But in the end, Palm Beach Atlantic was too much.
Barry fell to PBA, 20-25, 25-13, 25-18, 25-18, Friday night. The Bucs were seeking their first win over the Sailfish since 2010.

SUMMARY:
	- Barry broke away from Palm Beach Atlantic in the first set when Kristina Filimonova had a kill, and Jaeda Allen added two more in between a timeout before the Sailfish committed an attack error to give the Buccaneers a 19-15 lead. The Sailfish pulled within 20-18, but the Bucs went on a 3-0 run on a block by Johanna Voss and Juliana Tirabassi and kills by Voss and Kishara Gordon. Gordon and Genesis Castillo added kills down the stretch to help the Bucs pull out the first set.
 
	- After dropping the second set to tie the match at 1-1, Barry gave PBA a scare in the third when Voss had a kill to pull the Bucs within 14-13. Allen's kill tied it at 16-16. But the Sailfish pulled away, taking a 22-17 lead before Allen's kill put a brief halt in the run. PBA scored the final three points of the set to go up, 2-1.
 
	- The Bucs fell behind 20-9 in the final set, but went on a 9-3 run down the stretch to make it respectable, pulling within 23-18 before the Sailfish put the match away. Gordon had three kills during the Bucs' late surge. 
 
	- Barry had a .137 attack percentage. Palm Beach Atlantic hit .226.
 
NOTEWORTHY:.
	- Barry took PBA to four sets for the second straight year in West Palm Beach.
 
	- Castillo had 11 kills, marking the fifth time she's been in double figures this season. She also had 10 digs for her third double-double.
 
	- The Bucs had eight kills and eight errors in the second set.
 
	- Barry hit .314 in the first set, pounding 16 kills.
 
	- The Bucs never trailed in the opening set.
 
	- Madison Yarborough had 10 digs, marking the fifth straight match she's been in double figures.
 
	- Gordon hit .357, marking the ninth time she's been over .350 this season.

Barry will play at Rollins 5 p.m. Saturday.
