Box Score LAKELAND, Fla. -- Barry's volleyball team lost in three sets to Florida Southern Friday night, 25-17, 25-20, 25-22.
Barry hit a respectable .226, but the Moccasins were stout with a .272 attack percentage. The first set featured nine ties and four lead changes, and the final set saw the two teams seesaw back and forth to 13 ties and eight lead changes.

SUMMARY:
- The Buccaneers rallied from down 14-10 to take a 16-15 lead on a Mocs attack error in the first set. But FSC scored the next six points, and Barry picked up a kill from Kristina Filimonova the rest of the way.
- Florida Southern raced out to a 12-4 lead in the middle set before Stassy Samokhvalova and Kishara Gordon combined on a block. The Bucs cut it to 15-13, following a kill by Gordon, block by Gordon and Genesis Castillo and Moccasins attack error. Jaeda Allen and Gordon's block tied it at 18-18. FSC pulled away down the stretch.
- Barry built a 19-17 lead in the third set after Castillo banged down two straight kills. Castillo added another kill to keep the Buccaneers ahead by two. But the Mocs went on a 5-0 run to take a 23-20 lead, and the Bucs could not recover.
- The Bucs outblocked the Mocs, 7-4. FSC had four service aces to Barry's none. Florida Southern had a 65.6 sideout percentage, while Barry had a 51.4 percentage.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Allen finished with 10 kills, marking the ninth time this season she's reached double figures.
- Gordon had five kills, four blocks, and hit .364.
- Castillo had five kills.
- Filimonova had nine kills, 10 digs and three blocks.
- The Mocs had all four of their blocks in the third set.
