It was the Buccaneers' first conference loss of the year, and the first since 2012. Barry had won 21 straight league matches.

Ahmed Triki defeated Saint Leo's No. 3 Alberto Barroso-Campos, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 10-3, at No. 1 singles in the last match to finish. Ranked No. 4 in the nation in doubles, Triki and
Renato Lombardi, paired together for the first time since March 21, dropped a 9-8 (7-3) battle with No. 2-ranked Alex Theiler and Barroso-Campos at No. 1 doubles.
Triki improved to 10-0 at No. 1 singles, and 4-0 in matches against nationally-ranked opponents.

Nico Dreer accounted for the Bucs' doubles win when they beat Guillaume Vanelven and Francisco Aparicio, 8-5, at the No. 3 position. Barry's
Daniel Ventura authored a 6-4, 6-0 win over Aparicio at No. 5 singles.

Nico Dreer, who is ranked No. 17 in the South Region, bounced back after dropping the first set to Alex Theiler, who owns the No. 17 national ranking, before falling, 6-4, 5-7, 6-2.
The Buccaneers will meet No. 5 Lander at 2 p.m. Saturday in a neutral site match in Saint Leo.
