MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University men's tennis team earned a bye to open the Sunshine State Conference Championships, and will play the winner of Lynn and Florida Tech at 2 p.m. Friday in the semifinals.
The Bucs (13-5) earned the No. 2 seed in the tournament after going 5-1 in league play. Lynn (14-6) is the No. 3 seed and Florida Tech (12-10) is the No. 6 seed. Live stats will be available for the entire weekend's matches.
Ranked seventh in the country, the Bucs have won five straight league tournament titles. Barry is 11-5 against nationally-ranked teams and 8-3 against regionally-ranked opponents.
