Barry 30-match win streak comes to end

Box Score DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Barry University men's tennis team lost to No. 24 Embry-Riddle, 6-3, Saturday. It ended a 30-match win streak for the No. 1 Buccaneers.

The school record is 41 straight wins from 2013-14. Barry (4-1) will play at No. 25 Flagler 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

The Bucs were without Renato Lomardi in both singles and doubles Saturday. 

Barry's Ahmed Triki beat Deni Zmak, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 1 singles. Fabian Pronnet was a 6-0, 6-3 winner over Rodolfo Arreygue at No. 4 singles. But the Eagles won four points in the other singles matches.

Pronnet and Daniel Ventura accounted for Barry's lone doubles win, an 8-1 victory over Arreygue and Mickael Faucher at the No. 3 position.

Barry used two different doubles combinations Saturday.
