MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--As the Barry women's basketball gets back to action after a week off for exams, they face a crucial road test at 21st-ranked Florida Southern on Saturday, Dec. 10 in Sunshine State Conference action from Jenkins Fieldhouse.
The Bucs (3-4, 2-2 SSC) are coming off a big 71-61 win over Saint Leo. Julia Paulin pitched in a career-high 17 points, while Elin Ekdahl (14), Barbara Cousiño (13) and Juhnae Richardson (13) all chipped in double figures.
Lauren Seyranian continues to lead the Bucs at 12.0 points per game, while Cousiño (9.4), Ekdahl (8.7) and Paulin (7.0) also make contributions.
The Mocs (5-2, 3-0 SSC) are tied for first in the conference. They are led by the trio of Anja Fuchs-Robetin, Jensen Blassage and Camille Giardina. Gardina leads the team at 13.0 points per game, while Balssage adds 12.4 and Fuch-Robetin 12.1.
The Mocs hold a 44-17 edge in the all-time series, though the Bucs have won five of the last eight games.
