MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry Buccaneers host the St. Thomas Bobcats on Tuesday, Dec. 13 in the Health & Sports Center. The game, a regular-season contest for the Bucs, will be an exhibition for the Bobcats.

The Bucs look to right the ship against the visiting Bobcats. Barry is coming off a 69-51 loss to Florida Southern on Saturday. Lauren Seyranian led the Bucs with 11 points, while Elin Ekdahl and Juhnae Richardson each had 10. The Bucs have dropped four of their last five as they have been beset with a rash of injuries. The Bobcats have not played in 10 days and are coming off a 55-47 loss to Ave Maria on Dec. 3. Samara Auguste provided more than half the Bobcats' points in the loss, chipping in 24. Desanta' Jordan scored 11 as the rest of the team combined for just 12.
KEY PLAYERS:
Seyranian is the Bucs scoring leader at 11.9 points per game, but they have have had four different players lead the team in scoring over the last five games. Ekdahl chips in 8.9 points per game and also averages 2.1 assists per game. Stephane Granada, who made her season debut against Florida Southern with seven points, will look to increase her role. Jordan leads the Bobcats at 16.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Auguste adds 13.7 points and 3.8 assists.
NOTEWORTHY:
The Bucs have won the only two meetings with the Bobcats, but the teams have not played since 2009. Barry won on the road in Miami Lakes 50-43 in 2008 and 58-51 at home in 2009.
Both teams struggle on the boards. Barry's rebound margin is -7.1, while St. Thomas is being out-rebounded by -6.0.
Ekdahl would lead the Sunshine State Conference in 3-point shooting at 60.9 percent, but is two field goals short of qualifying.
ON THE HORIZON:
The Bucs travel to the Bahama House Classic at Embry-Riddle on Friday-Saturday, Dec. 16-17. The Bucs face Texas Woman's University on Friday and play Converse from Kentucky on Saturday.
