SUMMARY:

  • 1Q - The Bucs hung tight in the first quarter, thanks in part to 12 points from the Swedish duo of Elin Ekdahl and Julia Paulin. Ekdahl was 3-for-3 from the field including a pair of three-pointers. But the Panthers got 10 points from Julie McCarthy and led 20-18 at the first break.
  • 2Q - Barry had the game tied 26-26 with 3:57 left on a layup by Kiara Palmer. But the Panthers used a 6-0 run to go into the intermission up 32-28.
  • 3Q - Ekdahl and Paulin scored 13 points combined in the third period, but the rest of the team only chipped in three points. Meanwhile McCarthy and DeLise Williams had 14 points combined and the Panthers pushed their lead to 11 points.
  • 4Q - The Bucs finally won a period in the fourth, outscoring Florida Tech 16-13, but it wasn't enough. The Bucs turned the ball over just once in the period.
