FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Barry University men's tennis team won all of its matches Sunday at the Florida Gulf Coast Fall Invitational, sweeping the host Eagles in singles and doubles.

Barry's doubles team of
Pierre Montrieul and
Carlos Gomez defeated Oliver Landert and Austin Bates, 6-3.
Vivien Versier and
Fernando Tous beat Mateo Ruiz and Sam Chaffin, 6-3, in the other pairs match.
At No. 1 singles, Gomez was a 7-5, 6-2 winner over Landert. Montrieul defeated Andres Alfonso, 6-2, 6-2, at the No. 2 position. At No. 3, Versier rolled past Bates, 6-1, 6-0. Tous defeated Chaffin, 6-0, 6-3, at No. 4.
"Everyone is doing good, so it's perfect," Versier said. "Everyone is confident. We feel good. Now we are just waiting for the season to start."
Barry will open the spring season with a home match against Division I Bethune-Cookman on Feb. 4.Â
