DAVIE, Fla.—A long season has come to an end for Barry Buccaneers baseball and ended on a down note as the Bucs were swept in today's doubleheader vs #1 Nova Southeastern.

The newly-crowned SSC champions got off to an early lead in game 1 as they scored four runs in the first three innings before the Bucs could reply in the top of the fourth.
In the fourth, the Bucs scored three runs off a
JC Cardenas RBI single up the middle that brought in
Khalil Denson and a
Greg Brodzinski two-run homer to left field to make it a 4-3 game.
However, the Bucs would be shut out the rest of the game as they fell 11-3.
Bucs starter
Jonathan Hernandez got the loss in a two strikeout, 3.2 IP effort to put his record at 6-5. Reliever
Daniel Broeseker pitched 4.1 innings and recorded two strikeouts.
Sharks starter Alex Mateo got the win with seven strikeouts in 7.1 IP to put his record at 9-1.
In game 2, the play was similar to the first game as NSU got out to an early lead with five runs in the first three innings.
