WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Barry University's women's basketball team fell to Palm Beach Atlantic, 59-51, Saturday.

After Barry's Amra Elezovic scored on a layup to tie the game for the third time, the Buccaneers (11-11) went scoreless over the final 4:33, and the Sailfish (9-16) capitalized with an 8-0 run to end the game. It signaled the Bucs third loss in the last four games.

Barry shot 21 of 56 from the field for 38 percent. PBA, which has won two of its last three and four of its past six, hit 39 percent of its shots, going 21 of 54 in a game where the numbers were strikingly similar. The Bucs were seven of 24 from three-point range for 29 percent. The Sailfish hit six of 19 triples for 32 percent. Barry was credited with 13 assists, while PBA had 15.

Kaylia Richardson scored 12 points, going five of nine from the floor, and had a career-high 16 rebounds for the Buccaneers, which outrebounded PBA, 39-32. She was the only Barry player in double figures.

Toni Niebler had eight points on three of five shooting, and Elezovic, Nyjah Porcher, Lynae Richardson and Jackie Perez each scored six points. Perez grabbed seven boards. Porcher had seven assists and seven rebounds.

Janelle Cannon had 17 points, going seven of 12 from the floor, and had five rebounds and four assists for the Sailfish. Denisa Domiterova had 19 points, canning five of 12 triples.

Barry outscored Palm Beach Atlantic, 17-3, in bench points.

The Bucs will host Rollins at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
