MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Barry went over the 100-point mark for the second time in six days, and the No. 21-ranked Buccaneers picked up a big conference Wednesday.
Barry University's men's basketball team beat Lynn, 109-101, for its fifth straight win and second this week in the final game at home in December. The Buccaneers (6-1, 1-1 Sunshine State Conference) will spend the rest of the month away from Miami Shores, beginning with Saturday's 2 p.m. game at Palm Beach Atlantic.

Yunio Barrueta matched a career-high with 31 points, and grabbed a season-high 14 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the year.
Adrian Gonzalez scored 29 points and had six rebounds and two blocks. Combined, the former high school teammates shot 23 of 29 from the floor.
Gonzalez buried a 3-pointer with 15:39 to play to give the Buccaneers a 20-point lead. Lynn's Denzel Richardson hit a 3 to pull the Fighting Knights within two. Gonzalez hit a jumper, and
Undra Mitchem scored on a lay-in to push the Bucs back up 10 with 3:55 to play. Mitchem canned a triple from the corner with 2:33 to play to give Barry a 97-85 lead. Lynn (3-3, 0-3) cut it to 99-88 on a triple from the top of the key by Richardson, but Barrueta scored after a timeout to keep the Bucs lead in double digits.
Barry shot 55.7 percent, knocking down 39 of 70 field goals. Lynn was 36 of 79 for 45.6 percent.
The Fighting Knights tied the game with 5:10 left in the first half on a Fred Landers basket. Barry's
Anders Haas answered with a triple, and Barrueta knocked down a jumper at the 3:12 mark to give the Buccaneers a 41-36 lead. The Fighting Knights pulled within two, but Haas sank two free throws to keep the Bucs on top, 45-41.
Haas buried a rainbow 3-pointer at the halftime buzzer to send Barry into the break up, 52-43. Haas finished with 20 points. He was 9-for-9 from the stripe.
The Buccaneers were 19 of 34 from the field in the first half. Lynn made 18 of 36 field goals.
Barry went 23 of 25 from the free throw line. The Bucs outrebounded the Fighting Knights, 41-35. Lynn's bench outscored Barry, 53-31. The Bucs outscored the Fighting Knights, 52-44, in the paint. Barry blocked a season-high nine shots, including three each by
Tray Leonard and Barrueta.
Mitchem finished with 13 points and five rebounds.
Elvar Fridriksson had eight points and 12 assists. Richardson had 20 points, and Fred Landers 19 for Lynn.
