MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University's volleyball team will play a pair of matches on the road Friday and Saturday to cap the regular season.
The Buccaneers (13-11,7-7 SSC) meet Florida Tech (13-14,4-11) Friday night at 7 p.m. They will look to extend the Florida Tech losing streak to two matches. On Saturday, Barry will play at Florida Southern (21-8, 8-7) in a 4 p.m. matinee.
Florida Tech is coming off a four-set loss to Tampa in a match where the Panthers were held to an attack percentage of .118, while Tampa was able to capitalize and swat at a .359 percentage. Florida Tech is led by Alea Hamm. On the year, she has 234 kills. She is currently averaging 2.52 kills per set. Hamm has 536 total attacks on the year. Barry newcomer
Kaitlin Drake has 301 kills on the year, and has 2.24 kills per set. In the last matchup with the Panthers, Drake had 11 kills and 41 total attacks.
Florida Southern is coming of a three-set loss to Tampa. Anna Tovo is Florida Southern's leader in kills this season with 355. She is averaging 3.45 kills per set on a total of 1,019 attacks. Bethany Besancenez has 815 assists on the year. She is averaging 7.69 assists per set. In the first meeting between these two teams, Drake pounded 20 kills, while

Jasmine Serna has taken over the setting duties for the Bucs. She had a career-high 63 assists last weekend.

Brittany Jaco looks to continue her dominance on the defensive side of the ball, where she has 549 digs on the season. She is averaging 5.90 digs per set. Jaco is 40 digs shy of tying the school season record.
