Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers eclipsed the Florida Southern Lady Mocs 66-54 in Sunshine State Conference women's basketball action in the Health & Sports Center Saturday afternoon.

The Bucs (12-10, 7-3 SSC) exploded out of the gate, leading 30-5 after a pair of free throws by Sanja Zivanovic with 5:58 left in the first half. The Mocs (14-7, 7-2 SSC) rallied in the last six minutes but still trailed 34-16 at the break after shooting 26.3 percent from the field and turning the ball over 19 times.

The second half started like more of the same as the Bucs extended their lead to 26 points, 51-25, at the 10:54 mark on free throws by Karla Mast. But the Mocs surged back to cut the lead to 54-43 just five minutes later, hitting 11 of 13 shots from the line during the run.

After the Mocs trimmed the lead to eight, 60-52, with 1:04 to play, the Bucs re-established control by sinking six of six free throws in the final minute to secure the win.

Mast led all scorers with 21 points for Barry, while Brook Kohlheim led the Mocs with 11 after hitting eight-of-10 from the line.
