Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers swept the season series from the Lynn Knights with a 53-40 win in Sunshine State Conference women's basketball action at the de Hoernle Center Wednesday night.

The series sweep was the first for the Bucs over the Knights since 1999.

The Bucs led 19-18 with 2:33 left in the first period and scored the last six points of the half, four from Sanja Zivanovic, to take a 25-18 lead into the intermission.

The teams traded baskets most of the second half, with Barry maintaining a lead of four to eight points. But up eight, 46-38, with 2:58 remaining, Barry reeled off seven straight points to take their biggest lead, 53-38, on a three-pointer by Daphnee Allen with 1:20 left. Lynn managed two free throws by Liz Speliotes in the final minute to make the final margin 53-40.

Karla Mast again led the Bucs with 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Sanja Zivanovic came off the bench to score 13. Speliotes led Lynn with 13, while Jackie Codiga added 10.

Barry (11-10, 6-3 SSC) host Florida Southern on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 2:00 pm in the Health & Sports Center. Lynn falls to 4-16, 1-8 in the conference.
