Box Score MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Barry University women's basketball team fell to the Florida Tech Panthers 58-42 earlier tonight at the Clemente Center.

The Bucs (8-9, 3-2 SSC) and Panthers (9-8, 4-1 SSC) were neck and neck early on in the first half, however, Florida Tech then went on a 21-2 run closing out the half up 28-10 as they held the Bucs to just 2 points in the final 12 minutes of the first half.

In the second half, it was the Bucs who came out hot as they put together a 17-7 run to bring themselves to within 8 at 35-27 and at one point were only down five. However, the Panthers began to heat up closing out the game with their own 17-7 run, which included them shooting 8-8 from the charity stripe in the final 3 minutes of play to secure the victory.

Florida Tech's Danise Fequiere led all scorers with 15 points. The Bucs were led by freshman Karla Mast who poured in 14.

The Bucs return to action on Saturday when they visit Eckerd College.
