Box Score LA'IE, HAWAI'I -- The fifth-ranked Barry University volleyball team fell to the seventh-ranked BYU-Hawai'i Seasiders 3-2 (21-30, 32-30, 30-22, 25-30, 15-17) earlier this afternoon.
With the match tied with two game apiece and the Bucs leading 13-9 in the final decisive game, the Seasiders went on an 8-2 run to win game five 17-15 and the match 3-2.
Samanta Tucillo registered a season-high 17 kills and a .324 attack percentage.
Fernanda Ferreira followed with her second consecutive double-double registering 15 kills and a team-high 10 digs, while
Simone Ferrarezi tallied 14. Danilea Lanza tallied 44 assists.
Chun Li Yen led the Seasiders with 25 kills and a .435 attack percentage, while teammates Ashley Moeai and Yu Chuan Weng each had 19.
The Buccaneers suffered their first loss of the season falling to 4-1 overall, while the Seasiders improved to 4-2 overall. The Buccaneers will return to action at 9 pm EST taking on second-ranked UC San Diego in La'ie, Hawai'i.
