Box Score WINTER PARK, Fla.--The nationally fourth-ranked Barry Buccaneers flattened the Rollins Tars 3-0 in Sunshine State Conference volleyball action Saturday afternoon at the Alfond Center. The Bucs took the three games 30-13, 30-25 and 30-20.
Leading 7-4 in game one, the Buccaneers opened up a 12-0 run on the Tars to lead 19-4. The Tars tried to mount a comeback later in the second and third games, but the Barry offense out-hit the Tars with a .395 team attack percentage to their .163.
Junior
Fernanda Brino who totaled 14 kills on only 23 attacks with one error for a .565 attack percentage, led the attack.
Simone Ferrarezi added 13 kills and Fernanda Ferriera had 10.
Kelly Dantas added nine kills and a .692 attack percentage.
Daniela Lanza directed the attack with 39 assists.
Kamrin Purser led the Tars with 10 kills and 11 digs, while Michelle Bookamyer had nine kills.
The Bucs improved to 10-2, 2-0 in the SSC. Rollins fell to 4-12, 0-1 in the league. The Bucs host Lynn on Wednesday Oct. 1 at 7:00 pm in hte Health & Sports Center.
