Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The sixth-ranked Barry University volleyball team sank the Armstrong Atlantic Pirates 3-0 earlier tonight at the Health & Sports Center.
Taking advantage of a young inexperienced Pirate team, the Buccaneers dominated the match winning all three games 30-23, 30-26, 30-18.
Fernanda Brino led the Bucs with a season best 16 kills and a .556 attack percentage.
Fernanda Ferreira followed with 11 kills hitting .391 on the night.
Daniela Lanza directed the Buccaneer attack with 25 assists.
Ashley Lavender was the Pirates attacking leader with 14 kills, while hitting .333.
The Buccaneers improved to 6-2 overall, while the Pirates fall to 6-7 on the year. The Bucs return to action on Saturday, Sept 20 at 7 pm hosting tenth-ranked North Dakota State at the Health & Sports Center.
