Box Score MIAMI SHORES – The Barry University women's soccer team made it 34 straight SSC victories Friday afternoon defeating the Lion's of Saint Leo 4-0 at Buccaneer Field.
The Bucs (4-2-2, 2-0-0 SSC) jumped out in front early on when
Emelie Karlsson blasted a shot from inside the 18-yard box on Lion's keeper Amber Ferrol who was able to make the initial save but could not gain possession of the ball as Tina Saario drove home the rebound at the 11:06 mark for her first goal of the season.

Tammie Thornton rounded out the Buccaneer scoring assault adding her fourth goal of the season on a penalty kick early in the second half. Buccaneer keeper
Johanna Fischer earned her fourth victory of the season as the Buccaneer defense did not allow Saint Leo (6-2-1, 1-1-0 SSC) to get a shot on net. The Bucs out shot the Lion's 29-2 for the game.
The Bucs return to action on Sunday at 1:00 pm as they host Christian Brothers in a rematch of last year's regional final match in which CBU defeated the Bucs 2-1 to advance to the NCAA Championships.
