Box Score MIAMI SHORES – The #6 ranked Barry University volleyball team defeated the #11 ranked University of North Florida 3-2 in their home opener at the Health & Sportscenter.

The Bucs (5-2) fell behind early on, dropping the first two games 30-25 and 30-22, however, rallied back behind the strong play of senior Simone Ferrarezi to take the final three games 30-22, 30-25, 15-9. Ferrarezi was the Bucs top offensive player with 16 kills, while Fernanda Ferreira turned in another solid performance adding 15 kills and a team high five blocks.

Jackie Struck provided the offense for North Florida with a game high 23 kills.

The Bucs return to action Friday night when they host Armstrong Atlantic at 8:00 pm.
