Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The top-seeded Barry Buccaneers shutout the Catawba College Indians 5-0 in the first round of the NCAA Division II Southeast I Regional at the Buccaneer Tennis Center Friday morning.

Barry swept through the doubles with ease. Thomas Hipp and Gerold Wiring knocked off Catawba's Justin Rich and Geoff Fouad 8-2 at number two doubles. Wiring served three straight aces in the final game before Rich broke the streak. At number one, Samir M'Bioka and Sebastian Losavio rolled past Evan Bowling and Alex Luc 8-4, while Filip Norrman and Dirk Bennighaus handled the Indians' Alvin Owusu and Eric Noll by the same score.

In singles, it was more Barry, as the Bucs won the first set in five of the six matches. Wiring closed out Noll 6-0, 6-1 and Norrman made it official with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Owusu.

Barry (19-3) advances to the Regional final on Saturday at 10:00 am against the Florida Southern/Presbyterian winner. Catawba ends its season 11-10.
