Box Score SAINT LEO -- The Barry University women's basketball team dropped a tough one to Saint Leo 59-44 Saturday afternoon at the Marion Bowman Activities Centers.

Saint Leo found themselves up 11-5 at the 13:47 in the first half, but the Bucs (9-14, 3-7 SSC) rallied, going on an 8-0 run to take a 13-11 lead with 7:26 remaining before the half. The Lions eventually regained the lead and went into halftime up 28-25.

In the second half, Saint Leo (6-15, 2-8 SSC)came out strong again, scoring 15 unanswered points to extend their lead to 43-25 at the 13:00 mark. The Bucs managed to get back to within eight with just minutes
remaining, but the deficit proved to be too much as Saint Leo held on for the 59-44 win.

Barry was led by Yojana Rodriquez who poured in 13 points, while Polona Oberc followed with 12.

Saint Leo's September Harris led all scorers with 22 points.

Barry returns to the friendly confines of the Health & Sports Center on Wednesday as they play host to Florida Southern at 5:30 pm.
