Box Score WINTER PARK – The Barry University women's basketball team was defeated 67-58 by the Rollins College Tars at the Alfond Sports Center.
In the first half, the Bucs (9-16, 3-9 SSC) jumped on top early leading 11-4 at the 14:17 mark and held on to that lead despite a late surge by the Tars as the teams went into the half with the Bucs leading 28-27.
The Bucs again came out strong in the second half, leading 44-40 with just 12:15 to play, but the Tars (19-6, 8-5 SSC) would not quit as they went on a 16-2 run to go ahead 56-46 at the 7:26 mark. Rollins eventually went on to win the game 67-58.
The Bucs were led by Bridget Bradshaw and Polona Oberc who each poured in a career high 18 points.
Nicole Warder who scored 14 points including four three-pointers led Rollins.
The Bucs return to action Wednesday afternoon as they play host to Florida Tech in their final of game of the season. Game time is set for 5:30 pm.
