Box Score SAINT LEO, Fla. -- The Barry University volleyball team wrapped up a three-match weekend set by crushing the Saint Leo Lions 3-0 earlier this afternoon in Sunshine State Conference play.

In a 1:10 match, the Bucs proved they were in charge winning all three games 30-13, 30-18, and 30-23.

Fernanda Ferreira led all Buccaneers with 12 kills and a .500 attack percentage, while also adding a team-high eight total blocks. Kelly Dantas came on to add 11 kills and a .304 attack percentage and Karla Bersano added a match-high 13 digs.

The Lions were paced by Christiana Florea with 11 kills and a .207 attack percentage.

The Buccaneers improved to 6-5 overall and 2-0 in the SSC, while the Lions fell to 9-7 and 1-1 in the SSC. The Buck will return home hosting conference rival Tampa on Friday, Oct. 4 at 7 pm.
