Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry women's soccer team pounded the Florida Southern College Lady Mocs 4-0 at Buccaneer Field Tuesday night.
"We executed a lot of things we've been working on, being an offensive threat" Barry head coach Kyllene Carter-Weiss said. "Hats off to Emelie (Karlsson) for the hat trick, beautiful goals."
Emelie Karlsson scored a natural hat-trick in the first half and
Tiina Saario added her first goal of the season in her first action. Marie Gunnarrson had two assists.
"I'm so glad we were able to win," Karlsson said. "I think it was a good game. We're getting better every time out."
Johanna Fischer made one save again to record her sixth shutout of the season. Lacey Emmerling kept the game close with 18 saves for the Mocs.
Barry improves to 7-0-0, 3-0-0 in the Sunshine State Conference. Florida Southern falls to 2-4-1, 0-2-1 in the league.
The Bucs travel to Eckerd on Friday and Tampa on Sunday before returning home to host Rollins on October 3.
