Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry women's basketball team tipped over the Nova Southeastern Knights 67-64 in the Health & Sports Center Tuesday night.

The Bucs (2-0) carried a 33-26 lead into the halftime and held on despite a furious charge by the Knights.

The Knights trimmed the led to one point twice late in the game. Tahaji Felder made it 63-62 with 1:00 left and Tina Thorpe made it 65-64 with :14 seconds remaining. But Barry had the answer, getting buckets from Candace Blackbird and Yojana Rodriguez to preserve the win.

Blackbird led all scorers with 27 points and Sanja Zivanovic added 14 points and nine assists. Polona Oberc came off the bench with 10 points, including two key baskets down the stretch.

Charity Rainey led the Knights (1-2) with 18 points and Jessica Pate added 10, with each player grabbing 10 rebounds. Felder had 13 and Thorpe chipped in 11.

The Bucs host the Comfort Inn "On the Beach" Thanksgiving Classic on Friday and Saturday with games set for 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. On Friday, the Bucs take on the #3-ranked North Dakota Fighting Sioux, while Lees-McRae faces Bemidji State.
