Box Score LAKELAND, Fla. – The Barry University women's soccer team defeated the Florida Southern Mocs 1-0 tonight at Barnett Field, successfully defending their undefeated season.
Emelie Karlsson put the Bucs up 1-0 in the first half, driving in a shot from the top of the 18 from a through-pass by Pam McDonald at 41:05.
The Bucs allowed only three shots in the second half to hold the lead and blasted off 14 shots against the Mocs defense. Despite numerous attempts, the Bucs shots could not find their way into the back of the net, leaving the score at 1-0.
Johanna Fischer extended her perfect record to 11-0-0, 7-0-0 in the conference with two saves on four shots. The Mocs Lacy Emmerling posted nine saves on 25 shots and falls to 2-5-2.
The Bucs improve their record to 11-0-0, 7-0-0 in the Sunshine State Conference while the Mocs fall to 2-5-2, 0-3-2 in the conference. The Bucs return home to Buccaneer Field on Wednesday, October 9 to host the Nova Southeastern Knights at 5:00pm.
