Box Score WINTER PARK, Fla.--The Barry women's volleyball team extended their season-best winning streak to six matches with a 3-0 win over the Rollins Tars in Warden Arena Sunday afternoon. Barry took all three games 30-21, 30-27 and 31-29.

The Buccaneers quickly established physical dominance in game one, running out to a 17-5 lead and cruised in with the win. Sarah Alexander and Karla Bersano each had four kills to pace the attack.

In game two, the Tars regrouped and led most of the game, but the Bucs, led by Bersano's nine kills, re-established their physical presence late to take the 30-27 win.

Game three was a battle back and forth, but a Barry timeout with the Tars leading 20-18 put the Bucs back in control and Barry claimed a 31-29 win and sealed the match. Bersano and Fernanda Ferreira each had seven kills in the frame.

Bersano had another outstanding match, leading the team with 20 kills and hitting .295. Ferreira followed with 10 kills and .444 hitting percentage as the Bucs out-hit the Tars .248 to .128. Daniela Lanza had 42 assists for Barry and Rochelle Magill led the team with 15 digs.

Noel Moore paced the Tars with 14 kills and became the Rollins all-time kill leader with the first kill of the match. She now has 1373 for her career.

The win improves the Bucs' record to 12-6, 6-1 in the Sunshine State Conference. The Tars fall to 16-11, 3-4 in the league. Barry returns home to the Health & Sport Center on Friday, November 1 to host the Saint Leo Lions at 7:00 pm.
