Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga. -- The Barry University women's volleyball team sailed past the Armstrong Atlantic Pirates 3-0 earlier this afternoon.
Down 12-6 in game one, the Buccaneers began chipping away at the Pirate lead to come back for a 30-28. In game two, both teams exchanged leads several times before the Buccaneers finally pulled away with a 30-27 win. However in game three, the Bucs demanded control cruising to a 30-26 win for three-game match victory.
Karla Bersano paced the Buccaneers collecting 13 kills and a .242 attack percentage, while
Fernanda Ferreira finished with 12 kills and a .269 percentage. Ferreira also registered a match-high 11 digs and six total blocks.
Candice Modlinski led the Pirates with 12 kills, a .233 attack percentage and 10 digs.
The Buccaneers improved to 9-6 overall, while the Pirates fell to 21-8. The Bucs will resume action on Tuesday facing off with south region rival North Florida at 6 pm.
