Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry women's soccer team celebrated Senior Day by blistering the Eckerd Tritons 9-0 at Buccaneer Field on Sunday.

Emelie Karlsson scored her fourth hat-trick of the season, while Jennifer White, Tiina Saario, Pam McDonald, Sonia Gallegos, Britt Miazgowicz and Olga Vargas each added single goals. Vargas contributed three assists and Karlsson had two.

White provided all the offense the Bucs would need, scoring off and nice combination pass from Miazgowicz and Karlsson at the 12:12 mark.

Karlsson put the exclamation point on the match in the second half. With Barry leading 4-0, she scored twice in :41 seconds to extend the lead to 6-0 and ice the game.

The Bucs out-shot the Tritons 37-6, including 18-2 on goal. Barry keeper Johanna Fischer, who has allowed only two goals all season, recorded her 13th shutout by making two saves. She passes Carilyn Hormilla (1989) for the most shutouts in a season by a Barry keeper. Kathy Atkins and Jillian Fanara each played one half. Atkins had four saves and allowed four goals, while Fanara had five saves and allowed five goals.

With the win, the Buccaneers (15-0-0, 10-0-0 SSC) clinch their fourth straight Sunshine State Conference title. Eckerd drops to 5-8-2, 3-3-2 in the conference.

Barry travels to Nova Southeastern on Friday, October 25 at 7:00 pm in their next outing.
