Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla -- Coming off nine days of no action, the Barry University Buccaneers picked up where they left off on Tuesday night defeating the University of North Florida Ospreys 3-0.

Starting out a bit shaky, the Ospreys tested the Buccaneers' limits stretching the first game of the match to 32-30 in the Bucs favor. The Buccaneers then dusted off the cobwebs and went on to win 30-19 and 30-23 in games two and three.

The Buccaneers were paced by Fernanda Ferreira with 14 kills and a .345 hitting percentage while Karla Bersano followed with a close 10 kills. Meghan added 35 assists and 11 digs to the Buccaneer efforts.

North Florida was paced by Kristen Jansen with 12 kills and .391 hitting percentage with Valarie Martinez leading the Ospreys with 33 assists while Lori Serrano led her team with 13 digs.

The Barry Buccaneers, ranked ninth in the nation in Division II, improved to 8-1 on the season while North Florida fell to 4-4. The Buccaneers will be back at home on Friday, September 21 hosting Florida Southern at 7:00 p.m.
