Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—The Barry University volleyball team tipped-off the 2001 season with a 3-0 win over Edinboro University of Pennsylvania at the Health & Sport Center Friday evening by scores of 30-21, 30-16, 30-21.
Fernanda Ferreira paced the Buccaneer offense with 13 kills and four service aces. Karla Bersano added 12 kills. Barry starts off 1-0, while Edinboro drops to 1-1.
The tournament, the Barry Invitational, continues tomorrow with matches at 10:00 am, 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Admission is free.
