Women's Basketball Lands Sailfish

Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla.--The Barry women's basketball landed the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish 85-77 in overtime at the Health & Sports Center.

Jaida Williams led all scorers with 30 points, a career-high, and had 12 rebounds and five steals. Amra Alagic added 17 for Barry and Carolina Santamarina had 14.

Jill Sansbury led four Sailfish in double-figures with 19 points.

The Bucs trailed by as much as 13 points in the first half, but rallied to close to three points at the break 38-35. In the second half, the Bucs built leads of 56-50 and 63-56 only to see the Sailfish trim it back down.

But in the overtime period, Santamarina set the tone early, hitting a three-pointer on the Bucs' first possession and they never trailed.

The Bucs improve to 2-5, while the Sailfish fall to 5-4. The Bucs are back in action on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 7:00 pm in a rematch with the Nova Southeastern Lady Knights.
