Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- The Barry University volleyball team successfully defended their 2001 home unbeaten streak blanking the Lynn University Fighting Knights 3-0 earlier tonight.
The Buccaneers were in complete control from the opening serve winning all three games 30-17, 30-26, and 30-20.
Simone Ferrarezi (Jr., OH, Sao Paulo, Brazil) continued her late season domination with a flawless performance of 18 kills and no errors for a .486 attack percentage adding 19 digs.
Tricia Stanton (Sr., MH, Los Ageles, Calif.) and
Karla Bersano (So., OH, Sao Paulo, Brazil) both added 11 kills a piece.
Michele Newman and Fernanda Campos paced the Fighting Knights with 14 kills a piece while Shelby Vollmer added 16 digs.
The Buccaneers improved to 25-2 overall and 11-1 in the Sunshine State Conference extending the current overall win streak to 14 games while the Fighting Knights fell to 20-8 overall and 4-8 in the SSC.
The Buccaneers will return to action on Friday, Nov. 9th at 7:00 p.m. looking to fend off SSC opponent Florida Tech in Melbourne, Fla.
