Box Score MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Second ranked Barry University men's soccer tied seventh ranked Clayton State 1-1 in double overtime tonight at Buccaneer Field.
The Bucs dominated the first half of regulation play, maintaining possession of the ball for the majority of the half allowing the Lakers only two shots. At 63:45, forward
Alen Marcina notched his 35th career goal off a short pass from senior defender,
Jacobi Goodfellow to lift the Buccaneers for a 1-0 lead in the second half.
However, at 84:12 Clayton State forward Brad Havenga challenged Barry keeper
Ron Goguen and was able to slip the ball past the charging Goguen to even the score 1-1 and to send the game into overtime.
Despite their efforts, both teams remained scoreless after the first overtime period and came into the second overtime period blazing. With time counting down in the second overtime, play became more intensified with each team receiving two cautions and one ejection.

The Buccaneers now stand at 7-1-3 while the Lakers are at 9-1-3. The Bucs will be back in action at Buccaneer Field playing host to Sunshine State Conference opponent Florida Tech on Wednesday, October 10th at 7:00 PM.
